HBO is preparing a new comedy about a group of gay Jonathan Groff.



The sitcom about a group of friends sharing an apartment are a genre in its own right. After the success of 'Girls', HBO will soon try a spin to the genre with a new sitcom. The series, which could well be titled 'Boys' will focus on a group of thirtysomethings who share house in San Francisco with a special ... are all gay.

Jonathan moves GroffSegún The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will star Jonathan Groff pilot that starts recording soon. Groff will play Patrick, a young gay man with a successful career as a game developer who is less fortunate in love.

Besides already closed Groff also participation in the series of Frankie Alvarez. Alvarez will Augustin, a famous assistant and best friend Patrick, with a strong ego that constantly interferes in her relationship with her boyfriend.

Although the presence of gay characters is usually constant in most series, few have focused exclusively on this group, highlighting 'Queer as Folk' above all. Now HBO try luck with this risky bet that if passed the pilot stage, will debut next season.

Jonathan Groff (Pennsylvania, 1985) is an actor and singer who has a long career on Broadway where he participated in productions of "Fame" and "Hair". Nominated for a Tony and Grammy winner, the young man reached its greatest popularity following his participation in the series 'Glee', where life gave Jesse St. James, a love interest for Rachel.

After leaving 'Glee' signed for 'Boss', Kelsey Grammer series, in its second and final season. Groff acknowledged his homosexuality in 2009 claiming to be "gay and proud of it." Last year he began a relationship with actor Zachary Quinto of 'American Horror Story'.
